Map of the Future

This is an invitation to an amazing future & I can guarantee it because most futures are
-Story People

If we could, we would buy a large plot of land somewhere temperate yet seasonal and then plop up a batch of houses all connected by a giant pool running through the backyards. Then we would hand pick all who would occupy those houses and there would be lots of backyard BBQs & there would be no good reason to ever leave our cul-de-sac of friends & family. But I suppose there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

Kevin & I have decided to pursue buying a house in CT!!! We've been talking of settling down and buying a house for the last couple years and the talk always led us south of CT - North Carolina, Texas.... But turns out sometimes the best things are right under your nose.

We're just getting our feet wet with everything but our lease here in the cottage ends come June 15th so the goal is to have somewhere to call home by then. On Saturday we sat for 3hours with a Realtor and yesterday we sat for 2hrs with the money people.

Both of us have moved into different rentals just about every year for the last 9 years & when we got married we didn't open any of our wedding gifts because we wanted to save all the fun, sparkly, new things for our home. So to think that in the next few months we'll be able to call somewhere home, paint walls & open our wedding gifts makes me smile.

We'll be far away from family and some friends but thats what vacations and holidays are for. All you southeners need somewhere snowy & cold to visit on Christmas ;)

YAY for the first steps of a new chapter....

  2. Being New Englanders, we can vouch for the charm of your area! We loved the time we lived in RI, and love the CT area as well...esp near the coast! Good luck to you in your search...let the fun begin!
