Getting Big

My baby is growing out of her baby :/
I was going through some more Olivia hand-me-down clothes and held these green pants up ...they looked light years away from fitting her ... they were so long and looked way too big.

But she wanted to wear them.  On they went.
They fit.
They are big but they fit.

I miss the onesies and one piece baby rompers.

Sunday Night

Reagan was in bed super early cause she was a crank monster.....  Which means Logan's evening was EXTRA special - no sister to bother him, a bowl of popcorn allllll to himself AND best of all, Monster Trucks on the TV.

 yes. yes & yes.

Foto Friday: Birthday Edition

Friday was the grand finale of his Birthday week.  The original plan was to leave on Friday to go camping for the weekend with the Hertels but the, beautiful all the time, Texas weather didn't cooperate and a a rainwashed 30 degree weekend ended up not sounding all that ideal for a dual family campout.

On to "Birthday Plan B" - which looked like this:
1.  Thanksgiving Feast at school :)
2.  Despite what it looks like Grandma isn't torturing Logan.  He got a hair cut to spruce up a little for Daddy and the Hair Lady wanted to give him a shampoo - he HATED it.  But I wanted him to have the experience so I asked Grandma to hold him still while I took some pictures
3. After Logan got spruced up Grandma & Grandpa took Reagan to get spruced up.....Not yet little lady, not yet.
4. Getting myself spruced up for Daddy.  Straightening my mop for m'love!  The start of a 2hr process....

Once everyone was all "spruced" up for the Birthday we went to the Hertels House for sleepover party.  Babysitter watched the kiddos while we went out to eat - came back and hot tub'd it, slept, woke up early cause Logan & Reagan are awful sleeping anywhere else but their beds, drank lots of coffee and were thankful for Birthday Weekend Plan B's  :)

Happy Birthday!

My kids, and now my husband are sick.

Kiddos have been sick since (last) Friday.  Sick like the only time we leave the house is to go to the doctors and even then Logan was puking in the waiting room next to a young woman and her just about newborn baby.  eeek. Awesome.

I had planned to get out of the house yesterday just to get out.  Our destination: Grandma & Grandpas house.  But just as soon as I told Grandma we were coming over I changed my mind.  Logan was a wreck - throwing fits left and right. He knows no in-between.  He is either so sick he can't move or he is up and running around.  He felt a little better but he wasn't & he was taking it out on me...and Reagan was feeding off of him and Dylan was feeding off of her and ....

Thankfully Grandma came to us -
Just in the nick of kiddos had reduced me to tears just as Grandma walked in.  Felt good to have someone give me a hug.

All is better.

Then today while I attempted going to the store with both sick babes Andrea dropped a giant bag of goodies off on our doorstep.  Food, drink & hand-me-downs.  Everything we could need to get us through a day or two more of sickness.

I keep thinking ... If we were still in CT I would have none of this.  I would have been crying in front of my kids until Kevin got home & then probably taken it out on him.   And the kiddos would have never had the wonderful distraction of unloading the bag of goodies Isa brought.

Thank You.

Reagan after spotting Olivia's hand-me-down leotard in the bag of goodies Isa brought :)  She doesn't even look sick in this picture...cause she's sooo happy.  Logan(and me) had the same look on his face later when he devoured the Cheez-its that she brought

Feeling VERY thankful for this closeness.  It's everything I've always wanted.

I feel like I'm surviving the plague

Still sick over here.

Sicky sick sick

I mentioned the kiddos being sick on Friday - well this is us on Friday waiting at Kroger for 2 prescriptions to cure 2 cases of Pink Eye.  I'm smiling because thats all I can think to do.  Pink Eye ranks in my top 5 most gross things to be sick with.  Ugh.

Saturday, thanks to the eye drops, the Pink Eye cleared up - mostly - but Saturday evening while Grandma & Grandpa were here Logan turned smokin' hot with a fever :/
He kinda went downhill from there.  He's had a constant cough, runny nose & held a pretty steady 103.5 fever since Saturday evening and generally looked and felt miserable.  See for yourself ...the most pitiful sick baby, ever

Today, Tuesday - he started throwing up :(

Too much for Moma.

Into the docs we went.  Double ear infection and a sinus infection.  All the drainage was causing him to throw up.  And yes, the boy that can't sleep anywhere else but HIS bed - fell asleep on the doctors table.

He rested again allllll day long.  I've never seen this kid be so still for so long.  I'm tired of watching Mickey and I'm tired of my kiddos being lumps - I'm ready for our normal to come back.  Hoping the meds the doc gave us has him waking up a feeling a little better.

Reagan has been sick as well - not quite as big of a fever - 101.  But a fever nonetheless.  A fever & a cough.  But she handles being sick like a woman....bring it ....

and yes that implies that Logan handles being sick like a man...

get well my sugarplums - moma misses your chaos.

Found this picture from 2 weeks ago at Grandma & Grandpa's house.  Not sure how it slipped through the cracks & didn't get posted the second I took it.

 I love it :)

Got a call from the school nurse on Friday that Logan was sick one minute after I made an appointment for Reagan at the docs because I suspected she was sick.  They were sick Friday & a little better on Saturday and sick again Today.

But a few baby germs didn't scare Grandma & Grandpa away :) They came over on Saturday for wings, pizza & the Hokie Game with a little T-Ball mixed in.

3.8 years and 29 months

Here they are one month and 7 days older.
Mr. Almost 4 years old & Miss Almost 2.5 years old.

And here they are playing Hide and Seek with the Penguin and Elmo.
"Don't look, Mommy's going to go hide Penguin & Elmo"

We played for an hour.
They ran so fast and so hard.

They are both sleeping right now & growing.
Always growing.

From the tub

Pedal Pro

We've owned the bikes now for a little over a month - neither kiddo knew how to pedal them and it seemed like it was going to be a long journey to "teach" them how to pedal.  I think the kicker for Reagan was when Mason came over and rode her and Logan's bikes by himself and had a blast.  She watched him like the little Hawk she is .....

and then yesterday

She did it! She rode Logan's bike ALL BY HERSELF :)

She hasn't tried riding her bike yet - but you pedal one bike you can pedal them all, right?!

Things the Babies say: Reagan

Reagan:  I like being your sister Mommy

Me: You aren't my sister.  You are my daughter.  Isa is Mommy's sister.

Reagan: Oh (look of shock) That's a good idea.

Reagan: I like being your doctor Mommy

Friday, 1 November 2013

It was Halloween and it was fun & exhausting.  The best kind of holidays are always just that :)

Grandma & Grandpa arrived and the party started!  Whole lotta up to no good going on in this picture:

As soon as Andrea took this picture she said "you look like Beyonce"  ummm now I see what she meant - hello big booty?!  In my defense I was stickin it out so you could see my tail, which you still can't see.  I was a Tiger & Kevin was my superhero :)

All I can say about the next few pictures is OMG.

Mason decided 4 houses into Trick or Treating that being a Fire Truck was hard work.  It's cool Mason your Mommy only spent days making you the most awesome Fire Truck. Can't win 'em all.

And the sugar high starts....
