Movie Night for the kiddos while we watched football....

They stayed like this watching the movie until their popcorn was done (a solid 10mins) & then they came downstairs and ran around and wrestled like crazy kids until it was 2hrs past their bedtime.  Here's hoping they sleep until 2hrs after their wake up time...

It's been almost 4 months since Dylan passed away & every week Reagan asks or talks about him :/   

There was one night that she said to Kevin that she didn't want Dylan to sleep in her room.  A few days later she woke up in the morning telling me that she saw Dylan on the moon and he had his bed and all his toys.  She often asks where Dylan is. Today when I asked her what she wanted me to draw for her she said "Our Family - Daddy, Mommy, Logan, Reagan & Dylan"

It sweet & sad - but I'm happy he seems to have made an impact on her little life...I hope she remembers him forever :)

Photoshoot

Took the kiddos out for a photoshoot a couple days before the first day of school knowing that I would be busy and not get any super great pictures of the first day of the 2014 school year.

So we drove till where the road ended, and they explored & I took their pictures :)

I'm borderline obsessed with Reagans outfit....I found it at a consignment shop & was saving it for when I could take some real pictures.

1st day 2014

Morning was a little chaotic cause it was also my first day of "work"....  But Logan made it on the bus - he has the same morning bus drivers as last year so that was nice :)  The day was not a normal day for many reasons.  We will all figure our new schedules out eventually....and then it will be summer - lol ;)





Logan is gone from 7:15am - 11:00, so before I could blink... he was back.

I failed at the before school pictures but I got some good after school pictures:

Logan rarely touches Reagan - I asked them to stand here and she went for his hand and he let her...she immediately started smiling & could not stop looking at their hands.  She was glowing. The last picture - almost makes me cry.  She is literally bursting with happiness all because Logan is holding her hand.

New Glasses.....again

Just 3 months ago we got Logan new "big boy" glasses.  Who were we kidding.  The warranty on them apparantely doesn't cover being thrown off in the garage, lost & then run over by a bike :/  $200 dolla bills down the drain.

So I did what we should have done 2 years ago & got him some MiraFlex glasses.  They are indestructible, super flexible and comfortable.  I never considered them before because I didn't really love the way they look.  

I have to admit I'm a changed woman - he looks more handsome than ever (and older?!!) 

Here's hoping they last forever.

Donuts

Logan likes to rub as much of the powder from the donuts onto his face and jammies before he even thinks about taking a bite.

Reagan drew this today - on my first day of work. 

Say what?!!  I haven't gotten paid yet so I suppose it's not super official and it's not "real" work (in my eyes) but it's money and it will mean I can cross another thing off our 2014 bucket list.  

I am going to be a nanny for 2 kids in our house.  A little boy (7months) full time Mon-Friday, 7:30-5:45 & his sister (5 years old) after school 3-5:45.  I had them both all day today to see how it went and on Wednesday I will have just the baby. After that, once school starts (on Monday...eeek!) I'm going to be on a schedule of one week on & one week off.

It's money & it's minimal impact on me and my life.  The Camry fits a snug 3 carseats in the back so I'm still able to take Logan to therapy twice a week. 

So tonight, after a glass of wine - when I look at the picture Reagan drew I see a sign that reads:  These "peoples" are a Mommy & Daddy and that "triangle" is our house and we are both doing our part to keep our house a float.

Weekend & Beyond

I took the kiddos to the mall - got caught up in the moment at Stride-Rite because the sales lady was so nice and helpful  while the kids tried on the shoes that we "just stopped in to look at".  Logan and Reagan LOVED the shoes & there was a sale going on & the sales lady was so nice....I bought them.  10mins later I had buyers remorse and returned them.  I made it up to them (the kids not the nice sales lady) by promising a cheeseburger and a carousal ride. Pictured below is said Cheeseburger and Carousal ride.  Never heard a peep about the shoes after that :)

Reagan & I went to a princess birthday party with our neighbor & her nieces.  Pretty sure Reagan would be content living the princess life.  She got to pick out a dress and then had her hair, nails & make-up done.  This would be her first time in make-up EVER and she wears it a little too well.  Truth be told I had glimpses of her going to prom when she came out of the bathroom all done up....

I forgot to mention Daddy is/was sick alllllll weekend.  So me & the kiddos tried to stay out of the house & stay busy.

Potty training is still going although Daddy being sick was a big set-back.  We were suppose to really tag-team and get some serious business done with that over the weekend but .... life happens

Been working on her letters.  She was so proud to show me this when we parked at the store.  The first 3 letters of her name :)  They are in reverse but in the correct order and all sorts of perfect looking.

I suppose we do have a bit of assigned seating at our table.  Everyone always sits in the same spot - Kiddos on the bench, Kevin across from Logan and me across from Reagan.  On this particular morning I sat down with the kids while they ate their waffles and I took this picture immediately of Logan cracking up.  Within a couple seconds he said  "That's Daddy's chair!  That's wacky"
