Merry Christmas!!!!!  Something happened to my date/time function on my camera & so all the pictures I took on Christmas were all mixed up - I decided to take advantage of that, put some music to it and BAM! - I present to you our Family Christmas 2014:

6th Birthday Sleepover Extravaganza!!

Part of Olivia's birthday present from us this year was an sleepover at our house and although she wanted nothing to do with the fact that it was her "birthday" I'm pretty sure she enjoyed all the fun and special attention :)

Just trying to catch a 10min rest while we wait for the second half of the day to begin.....weather has been gorgeous.  I will be the last to ever complain about it being warm enough in December to lay on the hammock with my baby while a cool breeze rocks us

The most wonderful time of the year

The time of the year when every single weekend is filled with celebrating the holidays - excuses to go to the mall at 8am, eating and drinking around the clock,  Birthday parties and Christmas parties, baking for hours, giving & receiving....

Christmas cards are done, baking my trillions of cookies are done & only one more gift to buy.

NO ONE does happy like Logan does happy

This kids happiness needs to be bottled, passed around the world & then drank every. single. day.

Today was his first day with his new school schedule.  The bus was picking him up at 7am and dropping him off at 11am but the class size has grown - A LOT - so to help, they hired another teacher which in turn meant that Logan would be moved to the PM class.  The bus now picks him up at 11am and drops him off at 3pm.  

He was tired when he got home - but some fresh air and belly swingin put him right back to his happy place :)

Not really a snow day but Logan's bus never came to pick him up?!?! So all the same in the end - No school for Logan :)

Merry & Bright

I love the Christmas season. 

Think it was the first year in a long time that we haven't decked the halls the day after Thanksgiving...in our defense we were returning from our camping trip.  But you best believe we had it done the day after the day after Thanksgiving.  

It's also our first year buying an artificial tree :/  I guess in Texas evergreens don't grow like weeds as they do in Connecticut - so a fresh tree comes with a fresh price tag.  

She's tall and pleasantly plump & looks good all dressed up (kinda like me....lol)

And then this was my husbands doing....

Christmas shopping is not done, Christmas cards haven't even begun to think about beginning & I have no idea when I will manage to bake the trillion zillion cookies that I have in the past....

only 22 more days.

Happy Thanksgiving

We spent this Thanksgiving & the days surrounding out in the wilderness with our friends & neighbors and some of their family.  The weather was gorgeous & the feast was plentiful.

Our cup runneth over with things to be Thankful for this year:

Sleepy

Recently we've been going without a nap (gasp!)  I'm kinda loving the extra time freedom & Logan doesn't seem phased by it, but come 6:59pm that kid is almost crawling up into his bed. 

Tonight when I had my cell phone in his face taking pictures he said "turn the light off puuulease"

Sure thing buddy - just give me a kiss on the lips first :)

Oh Monday

We were busy allll day Sunday re-vamping Logans room with a paint job.  We have another little project up our sleeves for his room so until then.... here's the only view you get:

But painting all Sunday meant no time for getting set up for Monday success.  Today this was the kitchen - but imagine this caliber of mess throughout the ENTIRE house.

The cold air!!!

8 in 2

Going into this whole work thing I was to have an "ON" week & an "OFF" week.  Recently that hasn't been the case.  Today I had the DAY off and when I went to get Reagan dressed I grabbed her last panty out of her dresser......

Reagan has 500 million bajillion panties.  What this means is Moma is super duper behind on laundry.

So on my off day we went to the laundromat to try to squash allllll the 7 or 8 loads of laundry in the 2hrs I had before we had to pick Logan up from school and then go to therapy.

I was a sweaty mess.  But we did it.  Kinda.  Had to fold towels & socks when we got home....

Reagan was a big helper - she loaded all the machines & helped put detergent in.  Then she got distracted coloring her new Doc. McStuffins pillow and "looking" at pictures on my phone....

But tonight I looked through my pictures and found these...so either some laundromat creeper was taking pictures of me OR

This might have been the very second I was telling Reagan how much I hated folding fitted sheets.  lol.  no, seriously.

Tonight Reagan told Kevin "Daddy we washed my blanket all clean.  But not at our house at the store!!!"

8 loads in 2 hours - I might be on to something.

Foto Friday: Video Edition

Last night before we left for kickball I asked Logan for a kiss. Typical Logan kiss is to just lean his head in and almost give you a head butt.  But last night I asked specifically for a kiss on Mommys lips

Guess what folks?!! I felt Logans lips on mine for the first time EVER :)

So of course I've seeking reasons for kisses all day !  Here is one of them:

Naptime

Told Reagan she could play quietly in the playroom during naptime today.  She was so super quiet but seemed very busy....I had to go peek

Busy indeed :)

Conversation last night when I was tucking Reagan in to bed:

R:  Mommy Dylan is playing in Heaven for sooo long when is he coming home.
Me: Dylan isn't coming home
R: He isn't? Why not?
Me: Dylan died & now he is in Heaven 
R: Did he fly or drive to Heaven
Me: He flew
R: But how did he fly. Dilly has no wings.
Me: Some tiny angels came and picked him up and flew him to Heaven

Ugh - this little lady is making it tough not to miss Dyaln :/

Time change

Time changes & kiddos are never a good mix.  I remember this little lady being up wicked early her first time change - you roll with it, it sucks but lemonade out of lemons right?! That year we did a photoshoot at 5am:

3 years later - it still stinks.  They are up early & tired early for at least a week.  This is the little miss was up at 6am on the dot, didn't nap and fell to pieces at about 5;30 here she is  at 6:30pm we are trying to make it to at least 7pm.....

The year there were 2 Pirates, Mickey & Minnie a Bat, Spiderman, a Solemn skier & a Naval Officer ...oh yeh & 2 old people ;)
