Dylan

Mrrrr.

I took him to the vet today because he is notably thinner, not eating, sleeping lots & his lumps and bumps that were supposedly just fatty deposits have gotten bigger.  Lots bigger.  He seems to have doubled his age in the last 3 months.

At the vet...
He has lost 15lbs since January.
He had a 104.7 fever (high)
His lumps and bumps (one in particular) have almost doubled in size in 4 months.

Not good.

It's cancer (not absolutely confirmed) but.....Kevin & I kinda knew it/believe it. On a symptom chart  & according to the Vet he has bone cancer...late stage bone cancer.  It's very likely he's had it for awhile and he has just played tough - but it may have just gotten too tough to handle.   Even since the weekend his behavior/swelling/eating has changed.  He is not himself  :(

Vet said it's an aggressive cancer that for right now we will treat with a steroid shot and pain medication.  We have a weeks worth of that.  Then we go camping.  Dylan loves camping.  We will see where he/we are when we get back. He is too old and the lumps and bumps are wayyy to big to do anything more at this point.

Grandma & Grandpa bought him some cheeseburger for lunch and he had some hand-fed Salisbury steak for dinner.
A little extra special for him for awhile.

Ugh.  Mrr. Boo. Blah. Whatever you call it.

Don't even know.  He is absolutely a part of this family.  So it is absolutely a fair statement to say this family is going through a tough time right now.

love&thoughts&prayers to our family right now.
