26 months & 10 months

To celebrate the kiddos being another month older they got colds which is why they look miserable & dazed in the above picture. BUT they also got a ball pit which has been a hit (especially with Logan) and been a source of some smiles :)

Getting better

Despite our week being a little off Logan seems to be having a good week with walking :) Today, for the first time he walked from the ottoman to us - up to this point he has only been able to walk to the ottoman after we get him situated on his feet. I feel like it's a big milestone and by the end of the day he was getting a lot more confident letting go of the ottoman.

Who was I kidding....

...this little messy monster isn't ready for one nap. We've been all over the place this week & I think it got the best of us. Just going to do a little tweaking of the nap times and get Friday off to a better start.

She's been knockin at the one nap door for a couple weeks now but I could hardly believe that my little baby could survive an entire day resting her peepers only once. But we tried it this weekend and she did fine, if not great. And so far this week she's been a one napper :o

Secretly I've been waiting for this day since she was born. Part of me was dreading waiting until she was 18months old to free up more of our day. Sooo much to my delight we don't have to wait any longer!

We've had to adjust our schedule a little to help ease her into one nap and I'm sure there will be days when she can't take it and needs two naps but for now my kiddos are on the exact same eating/sleeping/snacking/milk drinking schedule - wahoooooo!

6:30/7ish - up & milk/formula
8am - breakfast
10am -snack
11:30am - lunch
12pm/12:30ish - naps
2:30pm/3ish - up & milk/formula
4pm - snack
5:30pm -dinner
6:30pm - bath
6:45pm - jammers & milk/formula
7pm - night night

Cooking nights

Past few months we've had cooking nights where we make food for nights ahead, drink, eat cheese and bread for dinner, listen to music and tie on some aprons :)

Tonight we made & jarred 12 salsas and made & froze 18 enchiladas. YES.

Big eater

As you might be able to tell from some pictures that I have posted recently - baby girl is not short on chub. She's got some serious leg rolls and a belly that is going to look super cute sticking out of her bikini.

The girl can put down some food. 98% of the time she eats the same if not more than what Logan eats. She's not big on formula and some days it's hard to get her to drink 10oz total - she prefers big girl food - PB&J, nuggets, fruit, mac-n-cheese, burritos...you name it she eats it. Her absolute favorite, the banana.

She talks to her food and if she really likes what she's eating she does a little dance in her chair.


She is always the last one to leave the table - we have all the dishes done and we come back to see if she's ready to be done and it's as if she's says:
just a couple more minutes - I just found some good stuff in my bib

ok - so both my kiddos love the dirt

Think it's safe to say she's been enjoying the warmer weather and being one with nautre.

We're on day 3 of Logan having a bizarre high temperature the kind that puts his entire body on fire. Aside from him not really being himself he's showing no other symptoms which is why it's weird to me. Go figure he's been taking good naps but is extremely restless with his hot body at night. Day 3, and this moma is feeling the burn from lack of sleep.
To boot, Reagan has been sporting her and my first major diaper rash, one that hurts just to look at. We were fortunate with Logan - he has yet to ever have a diaper rash. Apparently Reagan is trying to make up for my past 2years of diaper rash free'ness with this one. Boo. She's been rockin the no diaper look the past couple days which is why she has such a big smile on in this picture.

It's the pooches birthday today - 7 years old. He ordered up a nice day of sunshine so we could do his favorite thing, go for a hike :)

Back to the basics

Success :) Well almost. We've been trying to help Logan with feeding himself and decided maybe the best way is to let him do it the way he wants. No rules other than having either a fork or spoon in his hand. The floor was just as much of a mess as he was, but the breakfast that did make it to his mouth was from the spoon! I don't think we're quite ready for soup ; )
