Well we've cut our trip short & have ventured home a week earlier than originally planned thanks to Irene. We left this morning from WV and arrived home in 7hrs - we powered through and only stopped once :o Reagan slept most of the trip while Logan slept for maybe 30mins but he's a little easier to please....so all and all a much smoother trip back.
Passed lots of convoys of utility trucks and tree chopper trucks all headed up to tackle Irene.
We're home now - prepared for a power outage with our cans of tuna, beer, wine, ice, milk & babyfood. She (Irene) won't be here in full force till morning so hopefully we all get a good first night back sleep.
If we're online tomorrow, you'll know ;)

Few questionables
A few are blurry but all are noteworthy:
I always wondered if Logan had little devil horns that grew overnight...confirmed.
Everything about this picture cracks me up
Not sure what kind of special moment was caught here but
And I thought I came to Grandma & Grandpas for help with the babies - why do I have both?

To Grandma & Grandpas house we go
It was a long 9hr drive but we have arrived at Grandma & Grandpas - it was Reagans longest trip & our first trip with both kiddos.
There was a little bit fussing, a little bit of sleeping & quite a few pitstops.
But we are here & we are enjoying :)

Moma
Be still my beating heart my little love has called my name :)
I've waited 18.5 months for this day & when I hear him mutter "Moma" it melts my heart just like I thought it would.

My theory
I have a theory.
That it takes 3 months for little babies to figure out how the days work and another 3 months to figure out how the evenings work. With life returning to "normal" in 6 months time.
My theory was true for Logan - he started taking organized naps at 3 months (almost to the day) and slept through the night for the first time at 5ish months. Things were good at 6 months - so good we got pregnant.
And so far my second subject, Reagan - is on track to proving my theory true as well. She has been consistently taking naps during the day. She has about an hour to an hour and a half awake time before we put her down swaddled in her crib. Typically, she has one mega nap (2-3hrs) and the others are more around the 1-2hr ballpark. Also true to my theory she has no idea what to do come the evening. Evening for her starts about 4ish with a crappy nap and then a in and out of fussy state until bathtime at 6:30pm - which she loves! But about 15secs after being placed in her towel she fears her life is ending and continues to scream until she is latched on to her mama. We are on a some nights are good and some nights are bad trend right now. Good nights being getting up twice to feed her and bad nights getting up more than that. Mama is bracing herself for bringing some tough love come months 3 & 4. Cause with the experience of one newborn under my belt I now know that some babies just like a little cuddle in the middle of the night.
I leave you with some of my favs from our week so far :)
And because some of these require an explanation
1. I asked Logan to help me unload the dishwasher...
2. My big bellied, pouty lip baby girl :)
3. Dylan deserves a picture from time to time
4. Logan wondering what the heck that thing is doing making so much noise
5. Being strong & beautiful in the exersaucer
6. Crawling under the sheets I was fluffing and folding cause he likes the wind in his hair
Dare I say things are on the up & up.

Photoshoot
Had a mini photoshoot cause I was about to go crazy and taking pictures of my babies winds me back down and if I'm lucky it captures just how cute they are so that when I look back 10 years from now I won't remember how today I left the Walmart parking lot in tears but instead I'll think how I must have done something right as a Mother to have such healthy, happy, ten toed, chubby babies :)

Monday at 4:00
Well if this is going to be the start to our week then I'm in for a treat - we've had an impressive day today and it's only 4!
Everytime I turn around Logan is pulling up on something :)
And Reagan is getting soooo strong. Might she roll over this week?!

New last week
Logan learned how to drink out of a straw - and may I add that he learned in less than 45mins !!
He started looking under things for his toys and/or just to be cute.
Annnnd I'm pretty sure Reagan go a tid bit cuter
Wonder what's in store for this week ?!

What kind of Grandma?
What kind of Grandma can dress you up silly & find you even more adorable?
What kind of Grandma can hold you steady while the ferry boat rocks?
What kind of Grandma can let you wake her up so you can have milk in her bed?
What kind of Grandma can make being a Grandma look so beautiful?
This Grandma.
We say goodbye to Grandma tomorrow after her 10 day stay. It seemed very natural for her to be here and they may not be able to say it but I know the babies will be missing her.
Thank you for everything Moma - Love you.

It happened
A couple months ago I asked Kevin if he thought we would notice the day that Logan didn't try to take his glasses off and/or if he thought it would ever happen. I honestly thought it wasn't going to happen until he was over 2years old.
But it happened and he's 18 months old - it took him just under 4 months to learn. We're not sure exactly how many days it has been but Logan hasn't taken his glasses off - not even while in the car! :)
hallelujah.

18months & 2months
For their little monthly birthday celebration we went out to Buttonwoods Farm where they were having their annual Sunflowers for Wishes festival. Snapped some pics of the fam. in front of the sea of yellow and Kevin pulled a super Dad and waited 30mins in line to get us 3 varieties of homemade ice-cream to share :)
Can't believe Reagan is already 2 months and crazy to think my handsome little boy is well on his way to being 2.
Sweet memories.
Mr. GQ
This was a random family picture but I HAD to crop Logan out because he stuck out like a sore thumb with all his handsome'ness. I swear we didn't pose him.
Watch out ladies.
You don't learn moves like these - you're born with them.
