Bathnight.

I NEVER thought this would be us...

For the first 3 years of Logan's life and the first 2 of Reagans - taking a bath was just part of every day.  It was routine, it was expected and it killed the time between dinner & bedtime quite nicely.

I don't know where we went off the deep end.

Maybe it was when we moved to Texas and could be outside and playing or visiting with friends and/or family until you walked in the door and say - oh crap! it's waaaayyyy past bedtime....we'll do a bath tomorrow - but then tomorrow is the same thing.  And so on.

Tonight they had a bath & I honestly can't tell you when the last bath they had was (oops)  I know it had been at least a week. But because I can't remember it had to have been longer than a week.  That's a week of hot & sweaty, pool & lake, dirt & messy eating.  That's awful especially when I say it out loud.  So tonight we scrubbed really good and did some extra bubbles - and hoped that did the trick for another week ;)

All American Weekend

Before (read: before we moved to Texas) whenever a holiday came around we spent whatever time Kevin had off work traveling 8hrs south or flying to visit someone.  We HAD to make the most of what little time he had off work.

& now :)

Now our holidays are spent doing what you should do on a holiday...  Visiting family but not traveling & having tons of fun but relaxing.

Try to top our weekend - I dare.
Ours started Wednesday cause Kevin had off work Thursday & Friday.  A single picture for each of those days is what I shall share:

Sweet child of mine

Oh she's sweet all right - sweet & salty with a side of crazy.

This is not child torture.  What was happening right before this happened was Mommy torture.  This was my last resort to reign in her behavior.....and it worked.

Buckle her in her carseat & turn the monitor on mute.  5 mins later:

These pictures make me laugh

Logan's Garage

For awhile now we've been talking about making him something that had a bunch of speed bumps to help satisfy his love for them.

A little inspiration & a day and a half of our weekend later..... we took it to the next level.

He is in speed bump heaven :)
