At Yale on Monday we were sent home with a disk of all of Logans MRI results. I popped it into the computer today and read

Findings:
There is dilatation of both lateral ventricles. The third ventricle
is of normal caliber as is the fourth ventricle. The sylvian aqueduct
is difficult to visualize with the quick brain protocol however there
is no gross mass in this region. There is no acute infarct. There is
no parenchymal hemorrhage, mass effect, or midline shift. No
extraaxial collections are noted. Note is made of bilateral cystic
structures in the caudothalamic grooves, likely choroid plexus cysts.
Midline structures are essentially unremarkable as seen. The
craniocervical junction is unremarkable. The visualized orbits are
normal.
Impression:
1. Dilatation of both lateral ventricles.
2. No gross intracranial hemorrhage.
3. Bilateral choroid plexus cysts.

I don't know what half of these words mean but I googled Choroid Plexus Cysts

For anyone that doesn't google it - It's definitely good news and a definite reason not to ever think about it again :)

Whew we've been busy, busy the past couple days
Saturday:
We drove out to our friends house for their son, Wesley's, first birthday party. It was also Logans first ever birthday party and we snapped a few good pictures of the birthday boy and Logan playing with a balloon but I can't seem to find the pictures that I downloaded :(

We then went to another friends house for their Chili cookoff, some football and a fire :) All in all Logan did awesome with all the traveling and being up late. We left the house at 1 and got back at 10pm....he probably napped a total of 30mins in that time frame - yikes.

Sunday:
We attempted a hike - Logan got a little crabby about 30mins into it so we had to turn around. Good news is we found a bunch of trails near our house.

On the way home we passed a Pumpkin patch so we bought us some pumpkins :D

Monday:
Logan had his follow up Quick Brain Scan MRI. GOOD NEWS!!! Doc. sees no reason we need to follow up ever again!!! His brain ventricles are still dilated but they have not dilated any further since way back when he was still in my belly.

But - somewhere along all our travels and busy weekend Logan caught a cold :/ mrrrr. It's pretty pitiful & we feel so bad for him. His nose is like a leaky faucet and he can't breathe through his nose which makes sucking his thumb nearly impossible which is the one thing he wants.

For the past three days or so Logan has gone about his daily routines constantly crossing his two fingers on his right hand. Wonder what he's wishin for?!

8 months!

To counteract my last post - here are some of my favorite things that Logan does:
  • Smiles allllll the time. To strangers, to anyone.
  • I catch him just starring at me sometimes :)
  • He never wakes up crying - he just starts singing
  • Recognizes when we say "It's Bathtime!"
  • Likes to clap
  • Watches Dylan play and likes to pet him :)
  • Starts to suck his thumb when he's tired

How the baby is stackin up numberwise:

  • Wears 6 month and some 6-9 month clothes
  • I have reason to believe he is about 17lbs
  • Eats 3 solid food meals a day
  • Just moved up to size 2-3 diapers
For the big day yesterday we met Daddy at Toys R Us & picked out the book - Goodnight Moon.
